After a busy primary election season, we want to take a moment to thank you for being a member of the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County. You're part of a community working every day to empower voters and defend democracy right here in SLO County.
It has been a full year: staffing [xx] polling places, hosting 50 community events, and helping 900 voters get registered. We're already gearing up for the November 3rd election, and we'd love to have you with us.
One of the best ways to do that is by logging in to your member account for the first time. It only takes a few minutes, and it helps us in two important ways: we learn what issues and activities matter most to you, and you can tell us how (or whether) you'd like to get more involved. There's no pressure either way. Whether you prefer to support the League through your membership or dive into volunteering, we want to make sure we're connecting you with what fits.
To log in for the first time:
Go to lwvslo.org and click Member Login in the upper right corner.

If this is your first time logging in, you'll be prompted to create your own username and password, and then walked through a short profile update. You control what information is visible to other members, and you can update your interests and preferences at any time.
Ways to get involved
If you'd like to be more active, here are some of the ways League members contribute:
Voter registration and outreach: Help register voters or assist at community events. Email communityoutreach@lwvslo.org.
Candidate forums: Volunteer as an unbiased moderator, a timekeeper, or question sorter. Email candidateforums@lwvslo.org.
Committees: Join Voter Service, Government Policy, Housing and Homelessness, Natural Resources, Speakers Bureau, or Civil Discourse. Email membership@lwvslo.org to be connected.
Programs and events: Attend a Lunch with the League session or community education program. See what's coming up at lwvslo.org.
Volunteer opportunities: Browse current volunteer opportunities directly on our site and sign up for whatever looks like a good fit.
