Retired Federal Judge Alex Karlin will discuss some of the most important cases before the Supreme Court, cases that could affect our community including the redistricting of congressional seats, the legality of mail-in ballots, the rights of trans athletes, and the limits of presidential power over the imposition of tariffs. Judge Karlin will provide up to the minute analysis of the issues at stake and the arguments, both for and against, as presented to the court.
Alex Karlin was a federal Administrative Law Judge with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for 11 years and is admitted as a member of the bar of the Supreme Court. Before becoming a judge, he practiced federal environmental and nuclear law in Washington, DC.
